E3D manufacture a wide range of nozzle for different applications. The E3D Hardened Volcano Nozzle is great for abrasive materials but can soften at higher temperatures and thus loose it’s abrasive properties. The E3D Volcano Copper Nozzle is excellent at high temperatures, but is not abrasive resistance. Nozzle X takes boths these properties and puts them into one nozzle, Nozzle X can withstand high temperatures but still abrasive resistance.

The E3D Nozzle X also includes a WS2 Polyphobic nano-coating. This nano-coating reduces the build up of sticky materials and as result a better first layer due to less drag. The same can also be said for the top layer which will have a much smoother, glassy like finish. Easy maintenance, any plastic that does build up can just be wiped away with a paper towel.
