The Original WorkBee Router Mount has been designed with function, compatibility, and ease of use in mind. To be used on the Original WorkBee (Or similar 20×80/C-Beam Z-Axis), it features a strong and simple two-piece black anodised aluminium construction, Z-Bracket + Router clamp.

The router clamp and Z-Bracket are bolted together, this assembly is then mounted on the CNC Machine.

The Z-Bracket includes a locating inset, ensuring the router clamp is registered perfectly perpendicular to the Z-Bracket – Gone are the days of messing around with angle corners and constant adjustments.

We have made the router clamp a nifty interchangeable element of the mount.

There are three router clamp sizes to choose from for your mount. Each has been made to fit the router/spindle exactly, no plastic adaptors are needed!

The Original WorkBee Router Mount comes with a single router clamp of your chosen size. You can then purchase additional router clamps to fit other router/spindles to use on your mount here: https://env-ooznest-refresh.kinsta.cloud//product/original-workbee-router-mount-clamp/

A well-clamped router is key to a well-performing CNC Machine, the router clamps consist of a cylindrical hole with a single slit, a M8 Bolt clamps across this slit to provide the needed pressure to keep the router/spindle secure.

The exact sizing of the clamp, and symmetrical clamping method guarantees the router/spindle is clamped perfectly axial in the mount.

HEIGHT REFERENCE TOOL

The Original WorkBee Router Mount is assembled perpendicular and axial, but it also needs to be attached to the Original WorkBee in the correct perpendicular position.

This is where the included Height Reference tool comes in. It is designed to correctly position the Router Mount on the Z-Axis at the correct height, maximising the workable depth of the Original WorkBee CNC Machine.

The height reference tools ‘L’ shape references the bottom of the Z-Axis ensuring the Router Mount is perpendicular to the Original WorkBee’s Z-Axis.

It is two sided:

– One side for positioning a WorkBee Router Head/Dewalt/Katsu/Makita Compact router
– One side for positioning a Mafell/Kress plus other 43mm spindles.

Once the Router Mount is in the correct position, the Height Reference Tool is then removed. It has a precise laser etched rule, handy for measuring endmill stick-out.

The three available sizes of the Original WorkBee Router Mount are compatible with the following routers/spindles:

• DeWalt D26200/DWP611 Compact Router (69mm)
• WorkBee Router Head (65mm)
• Katsu Compact Router (65mm)
• Makita RT0700CX4 Compact Router (65mm)
• Mafell & AMB/Kress Spindles (43mm)

Or any other routers/spindles of the same diameters.

It is also compatible with the KentCNC Dust Shoe we sell. Dust Shoe adaptors are included with the 65mm and 43mm versions.

The Original WorkBee Router mount has the same compatibilities as the Openbuilds router mount so it can be used with other accessories such as the LED Light Ring or Laser Attachments.
