Description

Incorrectly using a flexible coupler on a 3D Printer Z-Axis can reduce print quality. This is because as the Z-Axis moves up or down, it can pull/push on the flexible coupler, thus leading to an inaccurate Z-Axis position, and can cause artefacts such a “Z Banding”.

Using a rigid coupler removes this problem and insures the Z-Axis threaded rod is always in a fixed position.

These Rigid couplers have a length of 22mm, and an outer diameter of 16mm.
